About the Role
Utility Cleaners play an important role in supporting vital hotel functions across various departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, operating cleaning equipment, and transporting items like dishware and linens. Success in this role requires adherence to safety, company policies, quality standards, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Support cleaning needs across departments including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry.
- Prepare clean linen and dining ware.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools such as dish washing machines, hand wash stations, and linen washers and dryers.
- Transport dishware or linens across the hotel.
- Create a safe workplace.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Uphold quality standards.
- Ensure uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
