About the Role

The Royal Kennel Club is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive professional to oversee the selling, planning, allocation, and management of trade stands at Crufts and other annual events. This 12-month fixed-term contract involves collaborating with exhibitors, suppliers, and the internal Events Team to deliver high-quality exhibition spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to budget discussions and forecasting.
  • Prepare application forms and paperwork for exhibitors via the trade stand portal.
  • Develop exhibitor manuals compliant with health and safety legislation and venue regulations.
  • Liaise with external contractors and venues to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Meet or exceed income budget forecasts.
  • Execute layout plans and stand allocations.
  • Coordinate with the CAD office for floor plan development and updates.
  • Collate health and safety documentation and advise stand holders on regulations.
  • Liaise with stand space approval companies regarding designs and permissions.
  • Prepare and proofread copy for show publications.
  • Manage the distribution of paperwork and passes.
  • Contribute to the digitization of the pass process.
  • Maintain and update show website content.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for trade exhibitors.
  • Assist with other events and conferences as required.

Requirements

  • Event management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working within an events venue or for an event organizing company.
  • Understanding of floor planning processes and relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of event operations and safety regulations.
  • Sales experience with the ability to maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience using CAD software for floor plans or layouts.
  • IOSH Managing Events Safely certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK as no sponsorships are provided.
