About the Role
Banyan Software is building an AI-native global people operations engine, including HR and TA systems, workflows, compensation processes, data, and analytics. This role will lead the selection and implementation of a modern, AI-enabled global HR system and partner across departments to build the infrastructure, insights, and intelligent processes for better decisions and sustained growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day design and delivery of Banyan's core people infrastructure for our global HQ and Operating Groups — systems, processes, comp programs, data, and the AI-enabled workflows.
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of core people processes across the employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, transitions, offboarding, transactions, and employee service.
- Drive efficiency through standardization and automation.
- Own the infrastructure that enables our decentralized HRBP model — HRIS configuration and governance, people services workflows, policy and framework documentation, and the tools HRBPs rely on.
- Run global compensation programs and annual cycles.
- Own job architecture, leveling, benchmarking, and pay equity analysis.
- Build and maintain the decision frameworks that keep comp questions from escalating unnecessarily.
- Lead the selection and implementation of a modern, AI-enabled global HR system — RFP, vendor evaluation, configuration, data migration, integrations, and rollout.
- Partner with IT on performance, security, and scalability.
- Own the systems, processes, and operational workflows that support benefits delivery globally.
- Own Banyan's people policies and global employment compliance posture.
- Partner with Legal on employment law, employee data privacy, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Keep the handbook current and consistent.
- Identify high-value AI and automation use cases across talent acquisition, onboarding, employee service, and comp cycles.
- Evaluate tools, configure them, ship the workflows, and measure impact.
- Own the systems infrastructure that supports TA globally — ATS configuration and governance, recruiting workflow automation, candidate data integrity, and integrations between TA tools and the broader HRIS.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition leads to ensure the tech stack supports hiring velocity and a consistent candidate experience across OpCos.
- Build the global analytics capability.
- Define key metrics, ship dashboards, and generate predictive insights on attrition, hiring, comp, and engagement.
- Connect people data into the broader enterprise data platform.
- Build and lead a high-performing global team.
- Set priorities, establish operating rhythms, and hold a high bar for execution.
Requirements
- Hands-on People Operations builder with 8–12 years across People Ops or HR Operations in global organizations.
- Experience personally building and shipping HRIS implementations, comp programs, analytics dashboards, and workflows.
- AI and automation fluency; experience personally building and shipping AI-enabled people processes.
- Familiarity with HRIS AI, agent platforms, workflow automation, and analytics AI tools.
- Policy and employment compliance fluency; experience building and maintaining HR policies and managing global employment compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to partner well with employment counsel and know when to escalate.
- Data and systems mindset; understanding of how people data connects to a broader enterprise data platform.
- Ability to work credibly alongside data engineers and IT teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and scale; ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information and adapt quickly.
- Experience operating in complex, decentralized, multi-entity environments.
- Builder energy; ability to scale systems, processes, and infrastructure by building them yourself first.
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking and finish what you start.
- Collaborative and influential; ability to partner effectively across HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and business leaders.
- Ability to influence without authority, communicate clearly, and deliver without surprises.
