About the Role

Acre is rebuilding the UK’s mortgage market with a new, end-to-end management system. Our platform simplifies the home-buying process, guided by user feedback and industry relationships. Acre is now part of The ClearScore Group, enhancing our ability to innovate.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test the user interface for consumers, brokers, and operational functions.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with the business to convert requirements into development tasks.
• Mentor other team members.
• Promote and ensure software engineering best practices and a culture of quality across the Frontend Development team and codebase.
• Manage a team of frontend engineers, with the opportunity to grow and shape leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• Passionate about software engineering and delivering a quality product.
• Enjoy creating beautiful and enjoyable user interfaces.
• Excellent understanding and experience with client-side JavaScript (Typescript), React, CSS, and HTML.
• Committed to using automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient with issue management, code versioning, continuous integration, and deployment tools.
• Ambitious but also pragmatic.
