About the Role
Join Change Grow Live Southwark as our Homelessness Team Leader and help shape an existing and developing service supporting people with a history of rough sleeping and substance misuse. You'll work alongside emergency accommodation providers to help people overcome challenges, build stability, and create positive futures.
Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals who have a history of rough sleeping and substance misuse.
- Build positive relationships with service users.
- Support individuals to achieve meaningful change.
- Help people access the services they need.
- Assist individuals in overcoming barriers.
- Support individuals moving towards greater stability and independence.
Requirements
- Experience of working with people who have multiple and/or complex needs.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Ability to build trust and engage people who may be hard to reach.
- Empathy, resilience, and excellent listening skills.
- Knowledge or experience in substance misuse (essential).
- Knowledge or experience in homelessness.
- Knowledge or experience in mental health.
- Knowledge or experience in criminal justice.
- Must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
