About the Role

Family Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant in Yorktown Heights, New York to provide excellent patient care and support the clinical team in a team-based environment. Join a mission-driven practice focused on creating memorable patient experiences and advancing dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Requirements

  • 1 year on-the-job experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
