About the Role
Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced M365 Administrator to join a high-impact technical services team. This role is crucial for providing technical assistance and support for Microsoft 365 services, focusing on user support, security, and system availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, OneDrive, Purview, and Viva.
- Focus on user support, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues.
- Manage security and compliance using Entra ID/Azure AD.
- Ensure high availability through proactive monitoring and documentation.
- Utilize ServiceNow (ITIL) and potentially participate in an On-Call rotation.
- Resolve issues and provide support for all M365 services.
- Troubleshoot system issues and utilize Office 365 tools.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Analyze usage, performance, and audit reports to identify trends and potential problems.
- Act as a liaison between end users and higher-tier support teams.
- Manage and maintain M365 security policies and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for M365 services, policies, procedures, and system configurations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of IT projects related to M365 services.
- Work with business units to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Administer Microsoft 365 service offerings to ensure effective functioning of email, collaboration tools, and productivity software.
- Develop automation solutions using scripting languages like PowerShell to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience administering M365 environments in a large organization.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Minimum 7 years of experience implementing governance and compliance policies in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, communication, problem-solving, and security best practices.
- Understanding of M365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to create technical documentation and deliver user training.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional IT teams.
- Familiarity with Active Directory; Entra ID; PowerShell.
- Experience with SAM tools (e.g., Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing models is preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit processes is preferred.
