About the Role

As the Manager of Store Operations and Talent at Sephora, you will lead the people and operational functions of your store. You will oversee staffing, zoning, training, onboarding, scheduling, and the execution of operational standards. You will report to the Store Director and collaborate with other managers, while also managing a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct final interviews for all key positions and utilize the applicant tracking system for hiring.
  • Manage all training functions, developing and executing the store's training strategy.
  • Oversee weekly schedule creation, approve time-off requests, and manage the store's payroll process.
  • Write and deliver annual performance reviews for direct reports and oversee the store's performance management process.
  • Deliver timely feedback for improvement and follow up as necessary.
  • Oversee all store operations, ensuring processes meet company standards.
  • Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving, returns, tester and supply control, and cycle counts.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of store sales performance, staffing, payroll, and controllable expenses.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of management experience in the beauty, retail, or customer service industry.
  • Previous experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across all store positions, including leadership.
  • Proven ability to create high-performing teams and develop in-store talent.
  • Ability to maintain composure and possess managerial courage for difficult conversations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence business partners clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with Windows, Word, and Excel.
