Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, including inspections, servicing, and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment such as HVAC systems, pumps, and motors.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly and effectively to mechanical faults, breakdowns, and emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
• Stay informed about industry trends, advances in mechanical technology, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar role, ideally within facilities management or property services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and associated controls.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, and conducting planned preventative maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work swiftly under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Flexibility to work on shifts and participate in an on-call rota.
