About the Role

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team in the NYC headquarters. The Junior Accountant responsibilities will include all aspects of the general ledger and month-end closing. This is a deadline-driven environment, as strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of all intercompany invoices
  • Recording of monthly journal entries
  • Provide feedback to manager on ways to enhance and streamline the invoicing process
  • Daily monitoring of the AP clearing accounts
  • Preparation of analysis schedules
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Assist with the monthly accounting close
  • Assist with special projects which may arise
  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

  • SAP Accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Adaptable and willing to work in a changing environment where continued process improvement is expected
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Salary/Compensations

  • $70,000 to $78,000
  • Annual bonus target of 5%
