About the Role
The Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing sets the vision and strategic direction for the Specialty Testing business area. This role leads daily business operations support for product development, clinical research, quality, compliance, and commercial activities, while serving as a key medical representative to external partners and professional societies.
Responsibilities
- Steer collaborative efforts between business leaders and research teams to define clinical research priorities.
- Establish and cultivate strategic academic partnerships for research and innovation.
- Lead global strategies for health economics, policy, and reimbursement (HEPR).
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive scientific exchange.
- Translate clinical and scientific insights into actionable guidance for product development teams.
- Support pre-launch product initiatives, commercialization, and life cycle management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across matrix organizations to achieve collective goals.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer as a medical representative to external partners.
Requirements
- Doctorate level degree (M.D., Ph.D, Pharm.D, DNP).
- Minimum of 20 years of medical and clinical affairs experience.
- Board-certified hematologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Extensive clinical experience in hematology, bone health, anemia, and immunology.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time (domestic and international).
