About the Role

Provides leadership and operational oversight for clinical education programs, ensuring accurate scheduling, data integrity, accreditation compliance, and a high-quality clinical education experience for medical students.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of clinical rotation programs including clinical scheduling, site placement, database management, and degree audits.
  • Manage clinical education staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, supervision, workload management, and performance evaluations.
  • Direct scheduling activities for all clinical students, monitoring schedules, ensuring completion of required clerkships, maintaining accuracy, and addressing conflicts.
  • Oversee clinical education data systems, including rotation management systems, clinical site databases, data entry, and reporting.
  • Ensure all clinical education activities comply with institutional and regulatory requirements, including FERPA, Registrar and Financial Aid compliance, and accreditation support.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, administrators, hospital partnerships, and leadership to facilitate smooth clinical rotation operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical education processes, including workflow improvements, technology implementation, and standardization of scheduling.
  • Provide coverage for clinical education operations as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Support institutional initiatives and special projects.
  • Represent clinical education operations in institutional meetings and strategic discussions.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, business administration, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years experience in clinical education, scheduling, or academic administration
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Knowledge of clinical rotation scheduling and medical education processes
  • Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex data systems and reporting tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical education software systems.

  • $90,000 - $100,000 per year
