About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. This role is responsible for preparing investment fund financial statements and supporting regulatory reporting requirements for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete annual and interim financial statements, including accompanying notes and supporting schedules for assigned investment funds.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings and reports, including MRFPs, FIHI filings, and other client reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and current fund-specific financial reporting information.
  • Process internal review comments and revisions to draft financial statements accurately and efficiently.
  • Incorporate client and auditor comments into draft and final financial statements through completion and sign-off.
  • Rollover financial statement templates, notes, and supporting documentation for upcoming reporting periods.
  • Execute financial reporting controls and document progress throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Assist with new fund setups and data maintenance within Diamond.
  • Maintain documentation related to financial reporting correspondence and reporting deliverables.
  • Participate in testing, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Pursuing or planning to pursue a CPA, CPA (US), or ACCA designation.
  • Prior experience in financial reporting, fund accounting, or investment fund administration.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards applicable to investment funds.
  • Introductory knowledge of, or strong interest in, the investment fund industry.
  • Demonstrates accountability, transparency, and sound judgment.
  • Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Effectively manages time and delivers high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Shows commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
