About the Role

HP Hood is seeking high-impact individuals to join their team. This role involves planning, picking, loading, and finalizing finished goods trailers, as well as receiving, transferring, picking, and putting away dry goods and packaging supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, pick, load, and finalize finished goods trailers.
  • Drive trailers on and offsite.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Plan, pick, and load trailers with correct labels, amounts, and codes using the Log Pro system.
  • Ensure trailers are clean and set to proper temperatures before loading.
  • Ensure loads are clean, properly wrapped, and placed on trailers according to specifications.
  • Take cooler inventories and monitor cooler temperatures.
  • Work with cooler load out/drivers, production, manufacturing, and WWTP personnel.
  • Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.
  • Keep work areas neat and clean, conforming to GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE.
  • Stay until the job is completed or relieved.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by management.
  • Receive and transfer dry goods and packaging supplies.
  • Maintain a valid forklift license and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Pick, deduct, and transfer stock using the Log Pro system, complying with FIFO.
  • Unload stock trucks and place stock according to SOPs and policies.
  • Return unused stock to its proper place and verify cases are sealed.
  • Separate, bale, and wrap cardboard.
  • Discard garbage from the production floor.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Yard Truck Operation.
  • Notify supervisors of low stock issues.
  • Assist with inventory checks.
  • Assure packaging materials, supplies, and stock are transferred daily to meet demands.
  • Pick and stage stock, fruit, and ingredients for production needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Incoming Ingredient and Packaging Examination Logs.
  • Perform routine weekly and monthly physical inventories.
  • Work with operations, warehouse, and lab personnel to ensure a clean and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Must be proficient in the Log Pro system.
  • Must ensure trailers are clean and set to proper temperature prior to loading.
  • Must ensure loads are clean, wrapped properly, and placed on the trailer following correct load specifications.
  • Must stay until job is completed or relieved.
  • Must perform any other assignments by a Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman.
  • Employee must have and maintain a valid forklift license.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements associated with the forklift license.
  • Must be proficient in the Log Pro system to pick, deduct, and transfer stock.
  • Comply with the Stock Rotation Policy (FIFO).
  • Responsible for the unloading of stock trucks and placement of stock.
  • Return all unused stock to its proper place in the warehouse.
  • Verify that all cases are sealed properly.
  • Separate, bale, and wrap cardboard.
  • Discard all garbage from the production floor.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Yard Truck Operation.
  • Notify the Warehouse Foreman or Supervisor of any “low stock” issues.
  • Assist the Warehouse Foreman with inventory checks as needed.
  • Assure all packaging materials, supplies, and stock are transferred between warehouses on a daily basis.
  • Pick and stage stock, fruit, and ingredients for production needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the Incoming Ingredient and Packaging Examination Logs.
  • Responsible for routine weekly and monthly physical inventories as requested or scheduled.
  • Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.
  • Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way.
  • Must stay until job is completed or relieved.
  • Must perform any other assignments by a Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman.
