About the Role
Rye Country Day School is seeking substitute teachers to support its PreK-12 college preparatory environment. The role involves working on an as-needed basis across Lower, Middle, and Upper School divisions to ensure continuity of instruction and student safety.
Responsibilities
- Work on an as-needed basis in Lower, Middle, or Upper School classrooms
- Collaborate with administrators and teachers to deliver instruction and manage classrooms
- Maintain student safety
- Collect and safeguard classroom materials
- Communicate with administrators and teachers to facilitate information sharing with families during absences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with and enthusiasm for working with children in school or learning settings
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Comfort with technology, including 1:1 laptop programs and online course management systems
