About the Role

Join FION to work on real industrial storage projects instead of practice assignments. You will be responsible for the planning, grid connection, documentation, and tools for battery storage projects, working directly with the Delivery & Operations Lead with real responsibility from day one. You will see the complete lifecycle of an industrial storage project, from design to grid connection to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Planning & design of BESS projects: installation plans, technical drawings, dimensioning of components (cables, protection technology, grid protection)
Assisting with grid connection applications according to VDE-AR-N 4110 (including E.1/E.8 forms)
Maintaining CRM (Pipedrive) and project management, documentation in Notion
Researching & preparing standards (VDE-AR-N, IEC) and industry trends
Developing planning tools and templates (e.g., plan automation, form workflows)
Optional: Initial contact with electrical contractors for project installations

Requirements

Studying Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Renewable Energies – ideally Master's, strong Bachelor's profile from the 4th semester also welcome
First practical experience in the energy/EE sector (internship or working student position)
High affinity for digital tools, quick learning ability – CAD or scripting a plus
Structured, independent work style and high ownership: You finish things, don't just start them
Fluent German (C1+), good English
