About the Role
Lead one of Long Island's premier automotive service departments. This role oversees the daily operations of the front-line service team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, employee development, efficient workflow, and goal achievement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Service Advisor team.
- Supervise the daily operations of the Valet and Porter teams, ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.
- Handle escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor Service Advisor performance, productivity, CSI, and sales effectiveness.
- Ensure repair orders are written accurately, completely, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with Service Manager, Dispatch, Warranty Administrator, Parts Department, and Technicians to maximize workflow and shop efficiency.
- Maintain efficient appointment flow and ensure timely customer communication.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing Service Advisors, Valets, and Porters.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- Help the department achieve sales, gross profit, customer satisfaction, and retention goals.
- Ensure dealership policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Requirements
- Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
- Previous dealership management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Experience with Dealertrack DMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license required.
