About the Role

The Data Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct support to order entry, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, purchasing, and customer service organizations through the creation and maintenance of pump materials using AS400 Product Master. This role involves creating and revising products and structures in a timely manner, and making daily decisions to maximize utilization of resources to increase company profitability and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Load part numbers to AS400 with all necessary description fields – coding, warehouse, etc.
  • Request and input part routings, including appropriate standards and relevant text
  • Create and maintain product structures
  • Retrieve and input special Q.A. requirements, then set up appropriate routing, text, and structures to meet the requirements on Engineered and Industrial orders
  • Request costs from Purchasing/suppliers for buy parts as well as outside machining and testing services as needed
  • Provide necessary support to the manufacturing facility in updating, changing, and correcting manufacturing flows as changes occur with facility capabilities
  • Support new product implementations by loading manufactured and buy parts for routings and costing
  • Assist in part “make” versus “buy” decisions with manufacturing, finance, and production control.
  • Research historical records to support the repair business. Interpret original requirements for new part structures and input into the AS400 system.

Requirements

  • Requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
