About the Role
Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center is searching for a compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to use technical skills, support patients, and work with appreciative teammates in a positive, supportive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
- Obtain high-quality radiographs while maintaining hospital imaging standards.
- Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC and chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing.
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
Requirements
- A current veterinary technician license.
- A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary care.
- Strong clinical, technical, and patient-nursing skills.
- Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, surgery, and dentistry.
- Compassionate, clear, and confident client communication skills.
- A commitment to Fear Free or low-stress patient handling.
- A positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset.
- A desire to continue growing professionally while encouraging the growth of others.
- A willingness to contribute to a workplace where teammates genuinely value and support one another.
