About the Role
We are looking for a Senior/Expert DevOps Engineer to join the newly built Cloud Delivery Germany as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. You will be responsible for production cloud operations of our multitenant solutions in Germany, laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
- Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
- Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
- Continuous improvement of implementation documentation.
- Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes.
Requirements
- Desire and ability to work independently on complex issues, as well as collaborate efficiently with experts across different time zones to anticipate issues that impact customer success.
- Expertise with GitLab.
- Familiar with Terraform and Ansible.
- Expertise with Linux, SUSE.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting.
- Experience with hyperscaler services.
- Experience with Cloud Computing and Databases.
- Debugging/Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities.
- A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required, ensuring consistent coverage and support.
- Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration.
- Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
- Successful candidates might be required to undergo a background verification with an external vendor.
