About the Role
The Retail Risk Analytics Engineering Team (RRAE) maintains the Credit and Retail Model platform, providing platform and coding frameworks to Data Scientists and Model Developers. This role involves research and transition towards integration with GCP, specifically migrating existing applications to Google Cloud using Python, Google Cloud Function, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
Responsibilities
- Provide solid Python coding templates and automate unit tests.
- Optimize and simplify model codes and perform code reviews.
- Clarify requirements and recommend best practices to stakeholders.
- Rewrite existing frameworks and add new code and functionalities.
- Add new code (50%), update existing code (30%), and perform proof of concept (20%).
- Participate in architecture decision making.
Requirements
- Experience with major programming languages such as Java, Python and C++.
- Self-motivated and curious to learn new technologies and business use cases.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and provide several alternatives.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
