About the Role
As a Data Strategy Analyst, you will support the organization's data strategy and governance initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement strategies, and ensure data usage aligns with business goals. You will leverage analytics expertise to maintain data roadmaps, manage project tools, and support product certification.
Responsibilities
- Implement data governance policies and certify data products.
- Maintain the data roadmap in alignment with business strategies and emerging technologies.
- Build relationships with data stewards and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.
- Facilitate and maintain ongoing data strategy and roadmap.
- Support intake of new data products through stakeholder communication and governance meetings.
- Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to develop data products.
- Strengthen data foundation through policies, standards, and KPIs.
- Create training materials, playbooks, and guides to promote governance adoption.
- Provide support and training on product certification requirements.
- Oversee implementation of data strategy.
- Track and report on budget utilization and identify risks.
- Prepare program-level budget and spend summaries.
- Create cost and resource estimates for new project requests.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in data management processes.
- Promote data-driven decision making and organizational awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or Informatics.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and principles.
- Experience managing data lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to align data strategy with business goals.
- Experience in data strategy development and implementation.
- Ability to adapt data strategies to evolving business needs.
- Analytical mindset to identify trends and translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with data governance tools such as Informatica.
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance standards.
- Applied experience in data governance or data management.
- Knowledge of industry-leading data governance practices.
- Familiarity with DMBOK principles.
- Understanding of GDPR and related legislation.
- Ability to manipulate, analyze, and transform large datasets.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms, specifically MS Azure.
- Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office software.
- Working knowledge of project management tools like Monday.com and Jira.
- Familiarity with agile methodology.
