About the Role

A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role ensures vehicle compliance with safety standards and adherence to all regulations, completing daily vehicle condition reports to facilitate timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle in accordance with Company policies.
• Safely operates a heavy truck along designated routes and to the disposal site.
• Operates manual and/or automatic controls to comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Interacts courteously with customers, colleagues, and others to ensure timely and professional service.
• Identifies unsatisfactory waste containers and tags them according to departmental procedures.
• May process hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed.
• May operate a company hydrovac unit when needed.
• Continuously monitors vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
• Cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip.
• Cleans areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards.
• Maintains adherence to required productivity standards to ensure efficient customer service.

Salary/Compensations

• $26.60 to $36.57 per hour
