About the Role

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a professional to support scientists and staff at the Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities (IBR) throughout the full grant lifecycle, including application preparation, subcontract management, and post-award compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze sponsor announcements and application requirements.
  • Prepare grant application forms in sponsor portals in collaboration with principal investigators.
  • Coordinate subcontract applications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review grant budgets and contracts in coordination with the Grants Budget Office.
  • Ensure grant application and subcontract materials comply with sponsor guidelines.
  • Assist scientists with preparing biosketches and Other Support documents.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving NIH and federal policies, including Uniform Guidance.
  • Coordinate post-submission materials, no-cost extensions, and progress reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, business administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of grant administration experience.
  • Two years of experience preparing, validating, and submitting NIH grant applications using NIH ASSIST.
  • Two years of experience using eRA Commons for application management, JIT responses, and RPPRs.
  • One year of experience with SciENcv for NIH biosketches and Other Support documents.
  • One year of experience with eBRAP for Department of Defense CDMRP applications.
