About the Role

The Liquidity Methodology and Analytics team within Global Liquidity Management (GLM) is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective liquidity risk management frameworks and processes globally. This role supports the development, maintenance, and documentation of methodologies and assumptions for various liquidity stress tests and regulatory reporting, partnering with stakeholders to improve State Street’s liquidity position and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of scenario narratives, methodologies, and assumptions for Internal Liquidity Stress Tests (ILSTs), Resolution Liquidity Adequacy and Positioning (RLAP), Resolution Liquidity Execution Need (RLEN), and Regulatory Liquidity Stress Tests (RLSTs) including U.S. LCR and U.S. NSFR.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of interpretations related to FRB’s reporting instructions for FR2052a and Regulation WW.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the firm’s liquidity risk inventory and its interlinkages with various liquidity risk frameworks.
  • Engage with stakeholders in business, data, and technology teams to collect and analyze data and formulate calibration proposals.
  • Facilitate iterative review and challenge of interpretations and assumptions by Global Treasury Risk Management (GTRM) and validation by Model Validation Group (MVG).
  • Assist in the development of recommendations for new or changed liquidity methodologies and assumptions for senior management and governance forums.
  • Partner with data, technology, and operations teams to implement approved interpretations, methodologies, and assumptions.
  • Syndicate the impact of changes to all impacted stakeholders.
  • Assist in the formulation and presentation of responses to regulatory meetings, exams, and requests from senior management and the board of directors.
  • Assist in the re-design of reporting and analytical capabilities for daily FR2052a, RLSTs, and ILSTs to improve explainability of liquidity metrics.
  • Assist in the maintenance and re-design of processes for short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Support businesses in liquidity risk assessment of new products and evaluate recommendations for liquidity optimization.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, computer science or information systems.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in treasury, risk, analytics, or model development groups within a bank.
  • Demonstrated track record of financial analytics, modeling, and quantitatively supporting management decision-making.
  • Experience in preparing presentations for executive management and regulators.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, innovative, and a self-starter and team player with a high-level of initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities while maintaining focus and meeting deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to proactively resolve issues by collaborating with other teams.

Skills

  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Working knowledge of the liquidity regulatory landscape (e.g., Reg WW, Reg YY, RRP Guidance)
  • Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills
