About the Role
Drive store success by leading the customer accounts department, achieving company standards for collections and lease renewals. Strategically influence team performance to help customers achieve ownership goals and assume various job functions under the General Manager's direction.
Responsibilities
- Attain and upkeep customer accounts, including maintaining updated customer information in the store computer system and documenting all customer payment appointments.
- Assist General Manager with operational functions, including account recommendations, payment frequency, and payment history monitoring.
- Act as second in command to the General Manager.
- Build authentic customer relationships to support ownership goals and drive sales.
- Manage the collections process by counseling customers for timely lease/merchandise renewals.
- Review and close lease agreements, confirming customer identification, collecting money, and obtaining signatures.
- Contact customers with non-renewed merchandise agreements.
- Maintain customer contact via phone and home visits.
- Update and maintain customer information accuracy.
- Manage the entire accounts staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Clean and certify merchandise in the cleaning station for personally returned items.
- Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheets and route sheets daily.
- Load, secure, and protect product in company vehicles.
- Safely operate company vehicles.
- Assist the Sales Team as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old in the United States with a valid driver's license and compliance with the Company's Driver Qualification Policy, including a satisfactory MVR.
- Must be at least 18 years old in Canada.
- Must meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required states (United States).
- Ability to work schedules varying from 8 am to 9 pm.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 300 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly.
- Two years of college or two years of previous management experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High energy with the ability to effectively perform all store functions and multitask effectively.
- Proper telephone etiquette.
- Uphold the Aaron’s Brand and protect company assets.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Proficient computer skills.
