About the Role
This role provides essential administrative support to the Director of EVS & Stewarding and the management team, ensuring the efficient operation of the EVS and Stewarding departments and contributing to exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director of EVS & Stewarding and the management team.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and departmental correspondence.
- Maintain employee personnel files, attendance records, training records, and departmental documentation.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll preparation, timekeeping, and employee attendance tracking.
- Track employee call-outs, vacation requests, leaves of absence, and disciplinary documentation.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, vendor contracts, and departmental expenses.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, uniforms, stewarding supplies, smallwares, and operational materials.
- Coordinate ordering of departmental supplies while maintaining established inventory levels and budget controls.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure all required compliance documentation is current.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, scheduling orientations, training sessions, and maintaining certification records.
- Communicate professionally with Human Resources, Purchasing, Facilities, Finance, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and outside vendors.
- Monitor departmental email and respond to internal and external requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with employee recognition programs, departmental events, and special projects.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Support the day-to-day operational needs of both the EVS and Stewarding departments to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience, preferably in hospitality, casino, hotel, healthcare, facilities management, or environmental services.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with payroll, scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, and administrative systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude.
- Experience supporting Environmental Services, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Facilities, or Food & Beverage operations.
- Experience working in a union environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, chemical safety, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is a plus.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
