About the Role

This position reports to the Assistant Director – Category Sales – Fresh & Ready Meats (FARM) and is responsible for the bacon complex, including Raw Bacon, Fully Cooked Bacon, Oven Ready Bacon, Microwave Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Bacon Toppings, and Turkey Bacon brands.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain the overall business plan to achieve sales goals for assigned brands.
  • Champion assigned categories and brands on a national market basis.
  • Lead the strategic planning process by collaborating with Marketing to develop brand executional strategies that deliver top and bottom-line growth expectations.
  • Build and allocate sales targets and trade budgets for assigned brands, from a macro level down to each customer.
  • Manage the strategic planning process for assigned brands as the connector to the Retail organization.
  • Partner with sales to ensure alignment of brand and customer strategy through active participation and support of customer negotiation.
  • Manage brand trade resources and investments to drive profitable growth.
  • Provide forecasts for volume, net sales, trade, and gross margin for respective brands.
  • Create field-ready, insights-driven sales solutions to drive brand and category growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Sales/Marketing/Sales Strategy experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Pattern of initiative.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong persuasive skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.

  • 5+ years of Sales/Marketing/Sales Strategy experience (Preferred).
  • Analytical experience (Preferred).
