About the Role

The Venue Technology Manager is TOCA Social's on-the-ground technology lead for UK and European venues. This hands-on role is responsible for the daily performance, stability, and optimization of all guest-facing and operational technology across four venues, ensuring technology enhances the guest experience. You will be the first line of support, drive preventative maintenance, and contribute to new venue openings and technology improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Own the daily performance and stability of all guest-facing and operational technology across The O2, Birmingham, Westfield White City and Paris.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all technical issues raised by General Managers, Operations Managers and venue teams.
  • Prioritize and resolve faults rapidly to minimize guest disruption and operational downtime.
  • Conduct structured weekly venue visits to each UK site performing live system health checks, proactive troubleshooting and in-service support.
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to pre-empt system failures.
  • Maintain and oversee all venue technology systems, including game box uptime, playing surface quality, guest-facing tech, transactional systems, operational infrastructure, and inventory management.
  • Cover or support Techspert Captains and venue Techsperts when required.
  • Act as a daily technology partner to General Managers, Operations Managers and venue teams.
  • Work in close collaboration with Techspert Captains at each venue on ticket triage, fault resolution and performance management.
  • Embed tech confidence across venue teams through hands-on guidance, troubleshooting support and regular informal coaching.
  • Participate in operational leadership meetings to share system performance insights and align on upcoming priorities.
  • Ensure venue teams understand the technology around them, reducing dependency on escalation for routine issues.
  • Provide direct support to the Paris venue remotely, on-site when required for openings, projects or escalated issues.
  • Own the full administration of Tevalis EPOS across all UK venues, including menu updates, pricing changes, reporting configuration and device management.
  • Ensure EPOS configuration is consistent, accurate and aligned across all venues.
  • Liaise with Finance and Operations to support accurate revenue reporting, POS integration and reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain SevenRooms booking CRM configuration, integrations and reporting.
  • Support the ongoing administration of MarketMan inventory management across the UK estate.
  • Manage the technology ticketing system, logging, triaging, and tracking all issues through to resolution.
  • Develop and maintain a clear prioritization framework for tech issues.
  • Report on system uptime, fault resolution timelines, and guest-impacting incidents to the Head of Venue Technology.
  • Identify patterns and systemic issues from ticket data, escalating and proposing long-term improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activity, system changes, and supplier interactions.
  • Deliver structured technology training to venue teams covering EPOS, kiosks, AV systems, QR platforms, SevenRooms and Dojo tools.
  • Create and maintain clear, practical training guides, system playbooks, and troubleshooting documentation for all venues.
  • Update technical training materials whenever systems change.
  • Support the onboarding of new venue team members on all technology systems.
  • Support the planning and delivery of corporate events and large-scale bookings from a technology perspective.
  • Configure AV systems, lighting, and event-specific technology setups.
  • Develop customized technology solutions for unique or high-profile events.
  • Be available for key events where technology presence is required, including evenings and weekends.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all third-party technology suppliers.
  • Participate in supplier review meetings, tracking performance, service levels, and roadmap developments.
  • Ensure all venue systems are effectively integrated, minimizing manual workarounds.
  • Monitor evolving hospitality technology trends and flag relevant improvements or innovations.
  • Support the evaluation and testing of new tools or platforms.
  • Work directly with the Rollout Director and property teams during new site builds to scope, configure, and test all technology systems.
  • Implement venue-specific technology fit-outs.
  • Create tailored training guides, system playbooks, and handover documents for every new venue opening.
  • Deliver structured technology onboarding and training for new venue teams.
  • Support Paris and future European venue openings on-site during the critical pre-opening and launch period.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in venue, hospitality, entertainment or retail technology support.
  • Proven experience managing technology across multiple venues in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of EPOS, payment systems, networking, AV, CCTV, access control and guest-facing technology.
  • Confident troubleshooting hardware, software and infrastructure issues with a focus on rapid resolution.
  • Experience supporting live operational environments where uptime and guest experience are business critical.
  • Skilled in managing third-party technology suppliers and service partners.
  • Experience administering POS, CRM and inventory management platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple issues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator who can build trusted relationships with operational teams and explain technical concepts simply.
