About the Role

Provide technical support to experienced engineers and multidisciplinary project teams during the planning, design, and development of regional municipal, industrial and commercial projects. This role works independently on moderately complex to complex projects, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design models, engineering plans & documents using Civil 3D.
• Follow Corporate Civil CAD Standards while creating design drawings.
• Collaborate with other CPL disciplines on projects.
• Research, evaluate and execute appropriate engineering techniques and code provisions for a wide range of projects with unique needs.
• Prepare conceptual drawings and report graphics.
• Observe and report on construction activities.
• Ensure that submittal drawings are accurate, consistent and follow standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years of civil/municipal engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT).
• Valid driver’s license and a willingness to periodically use your own vehicle for travel to job sites (mileage reimbursable).
• Ability to perform moderately difficult technical computations and consolidate acquired data.
• Proficiency in designing using Civil 3D tools including Grading, Alignments, Profiles, Corridors, Pipe Networks.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass an intermediate on-line Civil 3D assessment.
• Working knowledge of HydroCAD, Sewer GEMS, Water GEMS or equivalent.
• Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness and initiative to continually improve engineering and CAD skills.
• Ability to comprehend and carry out oral or written instructions.
