About the Role

Caspar Health is building the digital rehabilitation clinic of the future, combining individual digital therapy with personal care from medical professionals. This role will bridge technical engineering and business strategy, developing maintainable data models, collaborating with Product and Commercial squads, and shaping Analytics Engineering standards in a supportive, AI-forward environment.

Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive, well-tested, and well-documented data models in dbt for long-term maintainability.
  • Building and maintaining scalable Python scripts for ETL/ELT processes and company-wide automations.
  • Establishing close working relationships with business stakeholders, clarifying requirements, and explaining technical decisions.
  • Representing the data team within cross-functional company squads, ensuring squad changes are understood from a data perspective while supporting them with metrics and insights.
  • Strengthening project automation and integration using GitHub, CI/CD, observability/monitoring tools, and incident root-cause rigor.
  • Leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate development workflows, automate repetitive data tasks, and enhance code quality.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL proficiency and strong data modeling skills.
  • Solid experience writing clean, scalable Python scripts.
  • Proven experience with data quality testing, monitoring/alerting, maintainable transformation pipelines, and incident investigation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1) with a proven track record of bridging the gap between engineering and non-technical business partners.
  • Strong desire to understand healthcare business logic, operational processes, and metric definitions.
  • High self-management capability to take full ownership of tasks, adapt to team standards, and solve operational problems pragmatically.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • High level of commitment to the protection of personal data.
