About the Role
We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Field Inspector with 3-5 years of experience performing construction site inspections. This role is responsible for monitoring and evaluating construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permit requirements, and project-specific environmental commitments.
Responsibilities
- Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
- Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
- Review Construction Work Plans and regular reporting on compliance with FEIS/ROD and environmental permitting standards
- Prepare daily activity reports
- Write technical reports and attend on-site meetings
- Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
- 3-5 years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)
