About the Role

The Systems Engineer will define, integrate, and verify complex system requirements and architectures to deliver complete, integrated solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Completing assigned tasks in projects, bids and R&D programs
  • Conducting requirements analysis based upon user/customer requirements and capabilities of core technology components
  • Analyzing alternatives and developing functional and physical solutions, including test or demonstration cases
  • Decomposing selected architecture into sub-systems and/or elements
  • Implementing and verifying solutions
  • Producing engineering reports, specification and design documents
  • Verifying architectures and solutions against established requirements
  • Presenting and demonstrating solutions to customer representatives
  • Planning and executing engineering activities to enable successful completion
  • Working within integrated product teams to ensure successful development and implementation of related engineering programs (e.g., Installation, EMI/EMC, Safety, Security, Environmental, Production, ILS)
  • Keeping abreast of technology developments and providing recommendations and advice on technology selection and R&D activities

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree suitable to achieve membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) in a relevant Communications, Computing, or Electronics related field
  • Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Experience with authoring/reviewing technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA
  • Ability to work independently within governance frameworks
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders to deliver across a complex, matrix environment
  • Must be an Australian citizen
  • Must hold PV security clearance
  • Nationality may be a factor due to Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
