About the Role

The main purpose of PERI’s Account Manager – Product Sales position is to increase revenue volume and achieve strategic sales objectives by being accountable for revenue generation, customer relationships, and growing the customer base within an assigned geographical area. The role involves managing all aspects of generating revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services, supporting customers throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with PERI’s internal team.

Responsibilities

  • Actively and continuously prospect to identify potential customer sites for PERI products within a geographical area and actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within a geographical area.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers focusing on maintaining strong transactional relationships with decision makers.
  • Actively manage customer rental projects and function as a liaison between PERI and the customer.
  • Actively prospect and identify potential PERI customers/projects and establish and build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sales lifecycle from initial customer contact to project closeout meeting.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and coverage to ensure target achievement and act as liaison with the customer to maintain and improve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to build and maintain relationships, gain understanding of requirements and needs, and provide support with current and future projects.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to add value throughout the sales cycle while continuously learning and maintaining knowledge of products, services, and their application.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and work with internal PERI departments from project kick-off to project closeout.
  • Perform ongoing market research to stay up to date with trends, changes, and growth activity that may impact on our business and customers, including understanding the political, economic, and competitive landscape in the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Construction and/or formwork industry experience is preferred.
  • Capacity to read structural drawings is preferred.
  • Effectively and harmoniously interact with others, demonstrating self-awareness, self-confidence, self-management, social awareness, active listening, conflict management, empathy, relationship management, emotional intelligence, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player skills.
  • Effectively relay oral and written information to individuals at all levels, ensuring clarity and understanding from all parties, along with exceptional articulate presenting skills with the ability to influence decisions and build trust.
  • Creative and analytical thinker who possesses excellent people skills needed to effectively convey information and communicate to various levels of an organization.
  • Advanced understanding of PERI's sales process, scaffolding construction project lifecycles, and the B2B business environment, including familiarity with the end-to-end sales process and customer lifecycle.
  • Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates may be required to have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) ran for candidates who drive company vehicles or receive vehicle allowances as permitted or required by applicable law.
