About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for their Acute Admissions Unit Team. This role involves providing basic nursing care, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting the nursing team in a new, high-acuity environment with the latest equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of trained nursing caregivers.
  • Notify nursing caregivers of changes/concerns in patients’ condition.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Assist the nursing team and the materials team with re-stocking the Ward.
  • Be aware of the general needs of patients during transportation and also the special needs of major cases, and when collecting and setting beds/trolleys for pain intervention list.
  • Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring triage, acute assessment and admission under indirect supervision from senior staff.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an AAU setting.
  • Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Care & Social Care
  • BLS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire.
  • Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
