About the Role

Freenow by Lyft empowers smarter mobility decisions, helping people to move freely and cities to thrive. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to collaborate with our operational squads. In this role, you will become an expert in our business and data analysis systems and environment to champion data-driven decisions as part of the Data Operations team. Responsibilities

Analyze and present recommendations, process changes, and new initiatives to management using data-derived insights.
Engage in configuration and programming within the data environment, query data via SQL from the data lake, automate data processes, perform deep dive analysis in Python, and adjust ETL tasks.
Bring new insights and champion them using analyses, dashboards, and storytelling.
Develop monitoring tools to measure performance and help the business achieve its objectives.
Create queries to answer operational and business questions across operational teams to support decisions.
Communicate results in a clear and impactful manner.

Requirements

Educated to Degree Level or higher in an analytical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science or Economics.
5+ years of experience in an analytical role.
Curiosity to answer WHY things happened, aiming for well-founded actionable results.
Curiosity about AI and its practical applications in analytics.
Experience using LLMs or AI-powered tools in a data context.
Enthusiastic, outgoing, and personable with the ability to think on your feet, work independently, and proactively collaborate to find solutions.
Understand how to engage and influence decision makers.
Driven to find solutions to problems and go the extra mile.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Skills

SQL knowledge
Familiarity with visualization tools (Metabase is a plus)
