About the Role
This role offers a compelling leadership opportunity within Deloitte's Private Tax team in Sydney, focusing on providing strategic, high-impact tax advice to prominent private clients across various sectors. You will influence the success of private businesses, family groups, and individuals, demonstrating leadership, delegation, and a commitment to team and client development.
Responsibilities
- Tackle complex tax transactions and advise on diverse scenarios.
- Lead and actively delegate to empower the team, maintaining a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Shape the strategic direction of the practice by working closely with Partners.
- Advocate for the development and growth of team members.
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive culture where everyone feels valued.
- Drive the team's success and advance personal expertise and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Prior income tax experience of at least 4 years at a Big 4, mid-tier professional, or accounting services firm.
- CA / Master’s of Taxation or equivalent qualification.
- Exposure to large private groups, multinational companies, and private equity.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Proven track record of consistently driving results and taking initiative as a self-starter.
- Ability to project manage and deliver multiple client engagements.
- Strong sense of team and desire to manage and mentor talent through coaching and on-the-job training.
