We’re looking for a Marketing Executive at Ebury to work across our non-fiction and entertainment publishing, focusing on audience-first idea generation and delivering impactful book marketing campaigns that drive sales. Ebury’s unique hub model blends editorial, publicity and marketing, and feeds on idea generation and collaboration across every area of the team. This role will sit in our Spotlight Hub, with a focus on entertainment and pop culture but will also stretch into other areas such as self-help and lifestyle publishing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver creative, audience-focused marketing campaigns that generate excitement, drive pre-orders and increase book sales.
  • Work closely with authors and collaborate with Editorial, Sales and Design teams to bring campaigns to life.
  • Help create standout campaigns that build social media buzz and encourage word-of-mouth recommendations.
  • Develop campaign strategies and marketing plans that connect our books, brands and authors with the right audiences.
  • Create engaging promotional materials across a range of print and digital channels.
  • Execute digital-first marketing campaigns across owned, earned and paid platforms.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external brand partners and media partners to maximise campaign reach.
  • Monitor campaign performance and contribute ideas to continually improve marketing activity.
  • Support the wider Communications team with campaign planning, administration and the delivery of high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with marketing trends, digital platforms and consumer behaviour to bring fresh ideas to campaigns.

Requirements

  • A genuine enthusiasm for marketing, with creative ideas and a proactive approach to developing engaging campaigns.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritising your workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-motivated, organised and flexible approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of social media platforms and how to engage different audiences through digital marketing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to share ideas and provide constructive feedback.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, influencers, brands and external partners.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • An understanding of how to create audience-focused, target-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Previous experience in publishing, marketing, social media, broadcasting, a creative agency, a start-up environment, or another relevant field, or transferable experience that demonstrates the skills required for the role.
  • A passion for books, popular culture or wellbeing, and an enthusiasm for reaching new readers through creative marketing.
