About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Data Capture Technician to operate reality capture equipment, such as 360-degree cameras and other surveying tools, in a variety of environments. The technician will be responsible for capturing comprehensive data of construction sites using different equipment and methodologies that align with algorithmic analysis. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, responsible, and passionate about fieldwork, with the ability to effectively use technology to collect detailed site information. This is a part-time role, requiring one day of work per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360° cameras and other surveying equipment to efficiently capture the construction site.
- Document and communicate the progress of the work being done on-site.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of the site and equipment by strictly following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Project Team to adapt to the needs and requirements of each project.
- Work on large-scale construction sites in Texas as part of the role.
Requirements
- Availability for one full weekday (8 to 10 hours) each week.
- Comfort working on active construction sites and in varying outdoor conditions.
- Strong work ethic — dependable, motivated, and committed to high-quality execution.
- Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Solid communication skills and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety awareness, including the ability to identify and follow both general and site/client-specific protocols.
- A positive attitude and willingness to solve problems independently.
- OSHA 10 Certification required.
- Steel-toed safety boots are mandatory.
- Must be able to wear full PPE (hard hat, boots, high-vis).
- Ability to walk 20,000+ steps a day.
- Must be able to work outdoors regardless of the weather.
- Goal is high-quality, systematic data capture following a strict technical brief.
