About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will balance patient needs with efficient office workflow, support physicians in medical procedures, and ensure an excellent patient service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with form completion.
- Become familiar with and use clinic computer hardware and software according to company policies.
- Schedule appointments and accommodate patient needs, such as ordering transportation and rescheduling.
- Perform clerical work, including copying, filing, and faxing.
- Comply with patient needs at all times and ensure all questions are answered.
- Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring they are neat and ready for use.
- Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures according to instructions and preferences.
- Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
- Ensure patients receive post-procedure instructions and information on obtaining medication.
- Monitor supply levels and replace as needed.
- Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
- Prepare IV solution.
- Train new staff as needed.
- Assist ultrasound staff as needed.
- Transport supplies or equipment as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant required.
- Spanish and English speaking required.
- Able to work Weekends.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English and Spanish Required.
- Medical Assistant Certification Required.
