About the Role

The Process Engineer for the Material Handling System (MHS) will be part of a specialized team responsible for the smooth operation of the AGV-system handling all material transports within the Gillette manufacturing plant. This role will focus on projects for the optimization of the Material Handling System and the solution of obsolescence topics, aiming for unattended operation and significantly impacting future manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis, development and continuous improvement of the MHS
  • Improvement of existing systems
  • Further automation of the MHS
  • Planning, calculation, and implementation of technical projects
  • Create standards related to the root cause to eliminate issues permanently
  • Maintain & create new strategies to improve MHS reliability
  • Execution of system tests
  • Analysis and comparison of variants for technical development potential
  • Coach people on problem solving & system improvements
  • Cooperation with vendors

Requirements

  • Bachelor or master degree within a technical field (preferably Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology or Mechatronics)
  • Demonstrated technical mastery
  • Some practical experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Preferably experience and special interest in material handling systems
  • Experience in project management and financial planning of projects
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Initiative, flexibility, and ability to coordinate
  • Very good German (minimum C1, ideally fluent or native) and solid English language skills
