About the Role
Rimes is seeking a Data Engineer to manage data onboarding and develop scalable, reliable pipelines that support analytics and operational workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest, transform, and operationalize data using Palantir Foundry and Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Ingest and onboard datasets from internal systems, APIs, databases, files, and real-time feeds.
- Build and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Foundry tooling.
- Schedule and automate batch and stream data refreshes.
- Model and operationalize data to support analytics and operational applications.
- Ensure data integrity through testing, quality checks, observability, lineage, and access controls.
- Collaborate with analysts and product teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions and data contracts.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in data or analytics engineering with end-to-end production pipeline delivery.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Strong SQL skills for analytical and transformation logic.
- Data modeling skills for analytics and operational use cases.
- Experience with data ingestion from APIs, databases, and real-time sources.
- Understanding of data quality, testing, observability, lineage, and governance practices.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed compute using modern ELT patterns.
