About the Role

This role sits at the heart of a major data transformation, offering the opportunity to lead the development of scalable, production-grade data platforms that power business-critical decisions across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver robust, cloud-native data solutions that enable data at scale.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges.
• Influence engineering standards.
• Help drive best practices across the wider data community.
• Build scalable data pipelines and frameworks using Azure, Databricks and Pyspark.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance and pair programming.
• Shape the evolution of a modern cloud data platform.
• Deliver solutions that create real business value.

Requirements

• Strong experience building cloud-native data platforms, ideally on Azure.
• Commercial experience with Databricks, Pyspark and Python.
• Advanced SQL and data engineering expertise.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable ETL/data pipeline solutions.
• A passion for technical leadership, mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practice.
