About the Role
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone considering their first step into Healthcare & Sports litigation. You will work directly alongside two Healthcare & Sports Partners on a range of matters, handling delegated and non-delegated tasks on high-profile cases.
Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed performance targets and quality standards, achieving 5.2 chargeable hours per day.
- Field telephone calls and handle general queries, liaising with policyholders, insurers, experts, and witnesses.
- Review medical records to provide factual notes and chronologies.
- Utilize Collaborate and/or Bundledocs for document uploading and client/expert/counsel access.
- Maintain Tracker with proceedings and involvement details to keep digital files current.
- Create indexes and bundles using Bundledocs, and prepare documents digitally for Counsel and experts.
- Use Foxit to split files and save them into the Tracker document library.
- Arrange conferences with clients, counsel, and experts, and obtain availability for hearings, JSMs, and trials.
- Liaise with witnesses regarding their availability for conferences and trials.
- Register and update CRU, notifying CRU of settlement.
- Conduct legal research.
- Perform ad hoc legal tasks.
- Assist with billing queries.
