About the Role
Join a growing nursery group as a Senior Pre-School Room Leader in Gerrards Cross. This role is third in charge at a new setting, offering the chance to provide strong people leadership and shape the pre-school room from the ground floor.
Responsibilities
- Lead the pre-school room as third in charge, managing a team of four staff caring for up to 20 children.
- Support children with additional needs as part of the room's key person approach, working closely with families and the SENCO.
- Take ownership of observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
- Apply safeguarding policies and the EYFS framework consistently across the room.
Requirements
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification.
- Solid experience in an early years setting.
- SEND experience is essential.
- Comfortable managing and motivating a small team.
- Strong people leadership skills.
- In-depth understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
