About the Role
Rippling is seeking a Director to lead the financial strategy for Customer Experience (CX) and Product Operations (ProdOps). This pivotal role involves serving as the senior finance leader and trusted advisor to CX & ProdOps leadership, shaping financial operating models, and informing critical investment decisions. The position offers high visibility with C-suite exposure and the opportunity to lead a team of finance professionals.
Responsibilities
- Own the CX & ProdOps relationship on behalf of Finance, serving as a strategic thought partner to leadership.
- Set ambitious and achievable targets for CX & ProdOps organizations, translating company priorities into measurable goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of CX & ProdOps efficiency metrics and build accurate financial forecasts for executive and Board-level decision making.
- Evaluate new strategic initiatives through rigorous financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Lead recurring CX & ProdOps Strategic Finance forums, including business reviews and planning cycles.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Data & Analytics to develop performance tracking dashboards and surface actionable insights.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, emphasizing analytical rigor, ownership, and impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or private equity, with significant experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills, with a proven track record of managing complex operating and headcount models.
- Deep understanding of SaaS customer economics, including NRR, GRR, churn drivers, expansion motions, and cost-to-serve.
- Direct experience supporting Implementation, Technical Account Management, Support, or Product Operations organizations is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Proven ability to operate independently at a senior level, managing multiple workstreams and driving outcomes through cross-functional influence.
- Strong people leadership experience, including building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to present clearly and credibly to C-suite and Board-level audiences.
- Experience in a public company or public-company–ready environment is a plus.
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g. Anaplan), Salesforce and SQL are a plus.
