About the Role
Are you a recent graduate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) eager to start a dynamic urgent care career? This fellowship program offers a patient-centric approach, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, providing an exciting opportunity to grow within acute care medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional treatment and collaborative care options within the scope of urgent care.
- Perform physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Order and interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs.
- Triage and manage patients efficiently to maintain patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures like wound closure, management, I&D, and foreign body removal.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including aspirations and injections of joints, bursas, and cysts.
- Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursemaid’s elbow reductions.
- Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances.
Requirements
- Must be willing to obtain DOT certification prior to start date.
- Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start.
