About the Role

Are you a recent graduate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) eager to start a dynamic urgent care career? This fellowship program offers a patient-centric approach, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, providing an exciting opportunity to grow within acute care medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional treatment and collaborative care options within the scope of urgent care.
  • Perform physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Order and interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs.
  • Triage and manage patients efficiently to maintain patient flow and minimize wait times.
  • Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures like wound closure, management, I&D, and foreign body removal.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including aspirations and injections of joints, bursas, and cysts.
  • Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursemaid’s elbow reductions.
  • Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to obtain DOT certification prior to start date.
  • Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start.
