About the Role
At Fresh Clinics, the Commercial Finance Lead role is pivotal, sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution within a rapidly growing business. This newly created position reports directly to the CFO, acting as the finance voice in strategic decision-making to provide leadership with clarity and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales, Operations, and Clinical Leadership, embedded in decision-making processes.
- Drive profitable growth by owning revenue and margin analytics, identifying areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with commercial leadership on pricing strategy, product mix, and customer economics to ensure commercial initiatives are accretive.
- Analyze supplier commercial agreements, including rebate structures and volume incentives, to support negotiation strategies.
- Provide clear, data-backed assessments on underperforming products, channels, or markets.
- Develop granular unit economics at clinic, channel, and geography levels.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the distinct cost structures, growth profiles, and margin dynamics of the Australian and US markets.
- Design and implement performance frameworks, KPIs, and commercial scorecards to track business performance.
- Translate financial data into actionable commercial insights.
- Lead finance for strategic initiatives, including new revenue streams and operational improvement programs.
- Conduct scenario planning and stress-test potential outcomes for material capital allocation decisions.
- Contribute to shaping the future of the commercial finance function, including processes, cadences, standards, and team development.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive finance experience with significant time in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior commercial leaders to influence decisions.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced modeling and scenario analysis.
- Experience in high-growth, multi-entity, or PE-backed environments; healthcare or MedTech experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to executive teams and simplifying complex information.
- Ability to push back and provide confident, objective analysis.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to creating structure in a maturing finance function.
