About the Role
Physical Therapists at Origin are responsible for supporting patient care and clinic success by synthesizing patient information, diagnosing movement dysfunction, developing individualized plans of care using evidence-based interventions, evaluating progress, educating patients, and collaborating with providers. The role also includes clinical instruction and other assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize pertinent information from a patient's referral, medical records, imaging, intake forms and subjective history taking.
- Diagnose movement dysfunction via functional movement, posture and gait analysis, internal pelvic floor examinations, objective measurements and listening to patients concerns and goals.
- Develop individualized plans of care for patients to include the patient's goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, biofeedback and other modalities to achieve patients' goals.
- Evaluate and document patient progress, utilizing outcomes to drive results and modifying the plan of care as needed.
- Educate patients about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
- Follow up with patients to ensure better adherence to plan of care.
- Connect with providers and local organizations to increase awareness of therapies provided by the clinic and ensure that as many patients as possible that need care are able to receive it.
- Provide clinical instruction of at least 1 student rotation per year after the first year of treatment in your specialty area.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
- Interest in women’s health, pelvic floor physical therapy.
- Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
