About the Role
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual to manage transactional accounting duties while gaining broader exposure to month-end accounting and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage the company's Accounts Payable, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
- Responsible for banking operations, bank reconciliations, transaction postings, and payments processing.
- Process corporate credit card claims and ensure expenditure aligns with internal policies.
- Prepare and lodge BAS and payroll tax returns; maintain FBT records and populate the annual FBT workbook; support financial audits.
- Assist with the month-end procedure, including payroll journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks.
- Maintain accurate workpapers and supporting financial documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Ad-hoc accounting and administration duties as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in an accounts related area or similar finance role.
- Ability to independently manage the full AP function is essential.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills, including experience with financial workbooks.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet compliance deadlines.
